We are off to Newfoundland so tag-along with us.

Our Favourite Place in the Whole World

Our Summer Mansion
Friends, Fun and Family what more can you ask for?  This is our sanctuary.  We hang out here every weekend from May to October. Picnic Island in Honey Harbour is a small campground on the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay.  A tiny little island amongst the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay.  Accessible by road over a little bridge that connects our piece of heaven to the rest of the world.

Our family has been coming here for over 30 years.  My girls basically grew up on Picnic Island. Gramma and Grampa had a trailer here and every weekend, off we would go.  When my parents retired the girls were lucky enough every summer to spend weeks at a time enjoying every minute.  Now the men in their lives have come to love it as much as they do.
We all love to fish, sometimes we get some big ones, and sometimes not so big.   And sometimes we get some weeds, and there just may be a little prize in there.
Can you see the fishy?
It just makes for those good fish stories. You know....the one that got away....it was this big!

We always manage to have a fish fry with the gang.

We enjoy spending lots of time on the water, on our Seadoo and our boat.

And in the water.....

Sometimes we are just silly....

We celebrate holidays and birthdays and thanksgiving.....

We dress up and have lots of fun.....

We go for rides.....

We go on hikes.....

We enjoy nature.....

...we see beautiful sights like this.
....and this.

Sometimes we dance.....

Sometimes we laugh.....

Sometimes we cry.....

One thing for sure we have made many lasting friendships.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful.  You never know what you might find as you cruise around the next point of land, or meander into the next bay.  You can listen to the sound of the loon, enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, or the peacefulness of the serene mornings.

We have made many great friends and have had some very fun times over the years and we hope to be able to enjoy many more years.  Doug and I are hoping that our Grandchildren will have as many fond memories of our Favourite place in the whole world as we do, and their parents do.  In fact we get to introduce our first grandchild to Honey Harbour in September.  I can hardly wait!  We are truly blessed!
